Dan Curtin revival

The last months Dan Curtin came with some marvellous releases and more productions are planned on labels as Starbaby & Angelmaker (see earlier post by Clint).

In 1993, just after the astonishing '3rd from the Sun ep' on 33rpm/Sinewave records, the Belgian DJ/journalist Joost de Lijser held an interview with the man from Ohio, currently living in Berlin, Germany. The interview was published in a Dutch dance magazine called "Bassic Groove".

Story of the 303 Bassline...

Here's an interesting video essay about the Roland TB-303 Bassline. It runs for 21 mins and gives some perspective on this obscure silver box's impact on electronic music. Check it out!
